Boychuk ‘optimistic’ about playing

From the Toronto Star:

Ottawa–Team Canada winger Zach Boychuk is nursing a sore right ankle after falling awkwardly into the boards against the Americans on Wednesday night. “I couldn’t walk on it (after the game) but I can walk on it today,” said Boychuk. “I’ve been icing it all day. I’ve got time to rehab it, so I’m optimistic” to be in the lineup for tomorrow’s semifinal. “He’s been one of our better forwards, making big plays,” said coach Pat Quinn.

Zach Boychuk is an up and coming Ukrainian Canadian athlete with the Team Canada Junior Hockey Team. He was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round, 14th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.  Zach hails from Calgary, Alberta and is looking to return tomorrow night against either Russia or the Czech Republic.  Boychuk joins the ranks on Team Canada with other notable Ukrainian Canadians such as Dale Hawerchuk and Dave Andreychuk.
